THE MOST SPECTACTULAR ALPINE MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE
The Wild Emperor (Wilder Kaiser) region has the seal of approval from the Austrian hiking association and forms part of the world’s largest e-bike areas, the ‘Kitzbüheler Alpen-Kaisergebirge’. Why not set out along the Tirolean Eagle path which will lead you alongside impressive mountains on a spectacular multi-day hike; perhaps the 3 day hut to hut hike or the 5 day ‘Emperor’s crown’ which leads you right around the Wilder Kaiser. It is easy to access the Astberg, Hartkaiser, Brandstadl and Hohe Salve mountains thanks to the cable cars and the panoramic footpaths. These all offer spectacular views of the Wilder Kaiser ridge.
FAMILY HOLIDAY IN THE TIROLEAN ALPS
The opportunities for families in the Wilder Kaiser area are almost endless and include lakes and pools to swim in, six themed mountain parks, not to mention quality-assured children’s activities such as climbing lessons, panning for gold, llama trekking, family moorland tours, kneipp sessions, cooking over a fire and much more. Younger visitors (and the young at heart) can play at the fabulously creative nature zones such as the ‘Witches Water’ in Hochsöll on the Hohen Salve; in Ellmi’s Zauberwelt, the magical alpine realm; or at the adventure park in the forest at Scheffau.
A WARM WELCOME TO TRADITION
Locals and guests mingle during the three village evenings held every week, at the concerts in the square run by local music groups, and at the atmospheric and friendly art markets in Going. Holiday makers soon become friends and all want to return. During the summer months, the villages around the Wilder Kaiser hold weekly village evenings, each with their own individual flair, where Tirolean culture shines through. Music and dancing, culinary delights and produce of the region is on show, making it a night to remember for locals and guests alike.
